Thanks to Joe Michael for getting us down to the Hawkes Bay to shoot aerials at various picturesque vineyards. We shot in amazing locations and worked with some very talented people.Click the thumbnail below to view a short aerial highlights video:

With such quick setup times we were able to travel in the Virtuoso limo, park, shoot and then travel to the next vineyard shooting maximum coverage.

LES MILLS INTERNATIONAL

	AERIALS FOR LES MILLS INTERNATIONAL

We had the pleasure of shooting aerial sequences with Assembly who were engaged by agency
String Theory to produce a Sci-Fi type video for Les Mills International.We shot a hero cliff shot as well as some other high-energy scenes. The director asked us at
pre-production if we could shoot at 85mm to create a more cinematic and high energy look & feel. The pressure was on as we had never shot at such a tight focal length.

The chase scenes were very technical for the pilot and camera operator being on such a tight lens. We had to modify our vibration isolation system and fabricate a remote focus adjustment to make it possible. The results were amazing as seen in the screen grabs below. The tight lens shots aren’t very aerial but more like a dolly in the sky adding another dynamic to the scenes.

	VIRTUOSO FLIES AT NZ’s FIRST UAS SYMPOSIUM


	We were invited to do a demo flight at the first Unmanned Aerial Systems Symposium. It was well attended with people from many different sectors looking at the use of these systems not just for filming pretty pictures. Virtuoso is committed to being at the forefront of this technology and working with the Civil Aviation Authority to enable our art form to be safely continued into the future.




		Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s a drone.

KIA CAR TVC

	KIA CAR COMMERCIAL AERIALS

We had the pleasure of shooting aerial sequences with Blacksands. The first location out on the West Coast was super windy but by having a larger Octocopter in a coaxial configuration and MoVI stabilising system underneath we were able to complete the required shots.Not all drones are created equal, small and cheap machines come with many limitations.

Not all drone teams are created equal either. We are the most experienced in New Zealand having flown and filmed all over the country and in many situations.

	Thanks to Blu Steven for getting us involved in his project creating imagery with the new Panasonic GH4. We had a great time flying outside and inside the Panasonic HQ. The quality of image from this little camera is stunning!

We had the pleasure of shooting aerial sequences with TV3 for the new Campbell Live titles. We shot in 4K resolution with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and captured some dynamic angles.

Thanks to Flying Fish for getting us on board to help with this unusal concept We modified the Octocopter to carry a paintball gun and chase the comedian Guy Williams for the launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 mobile phone. Hilarious day at the office.
